Took the bottom panel off and replaced 3 christmas size bulbs, hit the remote control to turn everything on and i heard a pop and. These can get stuck, (dont use oil), or you may be using a lightbulb of a type which doesnt produce enough heat to turn the flickering fan (energy saving bulb = low heat). These were old when i was a child, and they haven't. They make it easy to relax plug them in and enjoy beautiful flickering flames for about 2 cents/hour (thank you led lights) or turn on the heat and warm up a 400 square foot room.
