Draft Coming From Fireplace. The problem exists with most metal double wall fireplaces in cold climates. How do i stop a cold draft coming from my fireplace or woodstove chimney?

We are in a new build and are having the same issue with cold draft coming in at bottom of fireplace and when windy out the pilot really flickers around. We use it occasionally especially on holidays or when we have company. A damper rests inside of or on top of your chimney and prevents drafts from coming down the chimney.
If i were you, i would see if there is a way to plant some shrubs or other decorative but wind blocking solutions behind the house.

We have closed our damper and had a metel sliding door installed and i can still feel a draft coming through.
